Lynis plugins
Introduction
Lynis is a standalone tool to perform a security scan of Linux, macOS, and other systems based on Unix. By enabling plugins, Lynis can retrieve even more information from the system and installed applications.
Community and Commercial plugins
Lynis is free and open source software. To ensure ongoing development, its original author Michael Boelen created a paid web-based solution that uses the output of a Lynis scan. This solution is known as Lynis Enterprise and leverages both Lynis and plugins.
Plugins provide special value to users of Lynis Enterprise. Being thankful to our Lynis community (paid and unpaid), some of the plugins are also available to community users.
