PLGN-1402

Most Linux distributions allow multiple kernels to be installed at the same time. This is convenient to allow the running kernel to be untouched, while a new one is to be deployed. This new kernel is then activated upon the next system start.

This plugin test performs a check on the available amount of Linux kernel files. Too many kernels installed might be an indication of an issue with the package manager.

Other details

This plugin test runs on the following operating systems: Debian, Mint Linux, Ubuntu

This test is only available to users of Lynis Enterprise, as it collects specific data to be used with the Enterprise version.
